It’s time to pick up my Barbera grapes to make some wine!
I have extremely exciting wine news. I was just contacted by Shaker Ridge Winery. They will be picking my Barbera grapes on Friday morning, which means I need to pick them up (I’m buying about 70 kilos), crush them, add the yeast and begin fermenting them within just a few hours before they start to lose their sweetness.
Here is the winery website.
I went to an event recently with about 20 different wineries and I really liked the Barbera wine so I’m going to try to make some. I’m going to describe my wine making process to people who sign up for my wine class.
Woohoo! I can’t wait until Friday morning. I’ll take some photos.
